A light game. A game of quiet strategy. A game of survival. These are ways to describe Tsuro, the Game of the Path. The rules are marvelously simple, and can be summed up as “move your piece around the board, and be the last pawn standing at the end.” The board, however, is not an unchanging world. It shifts with each player’s turn, and the numbers of players can vary from as few as two to as many as eight with each number in between altering the play in subtle yet definite and interesting ways.

So, here we are, 33 days to RandomCon. Are you feeling the Jones? Do the hairs on the back of your neck bristle with antici——————-pation? Are the dice rolling in your head growing louder and louder? You are not alone. We here at the Guise Knights lounge are finding ourselves giddy about the upcoming event. We have our schedule posted, we’re reviewing the rules of engagement, and we’re gonna hit the tables hard.

It would be a great day to say that I love all games, and that all games are equal in my eyes. That’s a wonderful sentiment, but it’s about as honest as a used car salesman. There are those games that I simply refuse to play. Case in point: RISK
